What a great term!

What a fantastic term we had in Spring 1! It all started with our trip to Knowsley Safari Park to spark our interest in Amazing Africa. We have explored the human and physical features of Botswana and Standish and produced art work in the style of Henri Rousseau. We became journalists when we worked in groups to present an enticing description of Botswana to persuade people to visit. The children wrote some fantastic descriptions of Gerald the giraffe and even learned how to use a thesaurus to expand our vocabulary knowledge.

Well done Year 2!

Magic & Mystery

This term we are learning all about Magic & Mystery and are focusing on the book The Worst Witch. The children entered The Wood Fold Wizarding School dressed up as witches and wizards. We had a great day making wands, casting spells, taking part in a potions class and all the children attended a graduation ceremony to receive a School Of Magic certificate. Take a look at the photographs of our magical day!
